Nick Patrick was born in London on December 28, 1957. He is son of journalists Beth Patrick and Victor Patrick. His three siblings are similarly talented: Mathew Patrick (CEO of The NHS Maudsley Hospital), Anna Patrick (actress), and Ian Patrick (film executive).
Nick studied at Westminster Under School in London, Millfield School in Somerset, and Emanuel in London, where he played in various bands.
Nick began his music industry career as a runner at London's Lansdowne Studios, graduating to Recording Engineer. He further honed his engineering skills at London's Odyssey Studios, and eventually turned freelance. Nick produced his first album in 1984, founded CPW Productions in 2009, with partners Jeff Chegwin and James Ware, and now operates as Nick Patrick Productions.
